Rescue Couscous

Couscous is a traditional North African dish made from steamed semolina wheat granules. It is a staple food in countries like Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. Couscous is typically served with a stew or meat, such as lamb, chicken, or beef, and a variety of vegetables including carrots, zucchini, and chickpeas.
The dish is prepared by steaming the couscous grains until they are light and fluffy. The accompanying stew, known as "tagine" in some regions, is often richly spiced with ingredients like cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and saffron, which contribute to its distinctive flavor profile. Couscous can be enjoyed as a main course or a side dish and is a popular choice for both everyday meals and special occasions.
