Gorgo Gnocchi is a delectable Italian dish that combines soft, pillowy potato gnocchi with the bold flavors of Gorgonzola cheese. The gnocchi, made from mashed potatoes, flour, and eggs, is boiled until tender. A rich and creamy Gorgonzola sauce is prepared by melting the cheese with a bit of cream, butter, and garlic, creating a luscious, tangy coating for the gnocchi. The cooked gnocchi is then tossed in the sauce until well-coated and served hot. Often garnished with freshly cracked black pepper and a sprinkle of chopped parsley, Gorgo Gnocchi is a comforting and indulgent dish perfect for cheese lovers.
Slice the mushrooms, peel, and cut the garlic cloves into slices.
In a lightly oiled baking dish, spread the gnocchi, sliced mushrooms, and sliced garlic. Bake for 18 minutes at 350°F.
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by melting the liquid cream, ricotta, and gorgonzola over low heat in a small saucepan.
Take the dish out of the oven and cover with the sauce. Sprinkle with grated parmesan.
Mix and put back under the grill for 3 minutes.
Enjoy with a slightly bitter salad.
