Ham with Orange and Rosemary
Ingredients
- 1 piece of boneless cooking ham about 2.6 lbs
- 2 organic Oranges
- 1 organic Lemon
- 2 sprigs Rosemary
- 1 tbsp Mountain honey
- Salt
- Freshly ground Pepper
Instructions
- Season the ham with salt and pepper, then place it in a steamer. Cook it for 1 hour.
- In a small saucepan, combine the honey with the zest of 1 orange (removed with a peeler), its juice, and 1 sprig of rosemary. Bring to a boil for 1 minute and let it cool before straining.
- Thinly slice the remaining orange and the lemon with a serrated knife. Strip the leaves from the remaining rosemary sprig.
- Glaze the ham with the orange syrup and cover it with alternating slices of orange and lemon. Sprinkle with rosemary leaves. Steam for another hour.
- Enjoy the orange-glazed ham thinly sliced, hot, warm, or cold, according to your preference.
